Friends, this is a special one for us: our performance Fri, Nov 29th is the SECOND-LAST show before the Moonshine as we've known it closes its doors. Like I was last year, the Moonshine's being reno-victed, thanks to Ontario being OPEN FOR BUSINESS (which is what Doug Ford wanted on every Ontario license plate, man of the people that he is).
Luckily, the spirit of John Marlatt is in good hands with Alex Antinori and the wonderful staff and in 2025, the Moonshine will labour-of-love itself to life in a new location. I for one am very excited for its legacy to continue.
My old duo The Undesirables was one of the first acts to play the Moonshine as it's been all these years, so it's an honour for me and Mike to get play it at the end of its magic era –– this room at 137 Kerr St. has been one of the special rooms in this country, and I have a good feeling about it continuing to be at its next location.
The Moonshine deserves to be celebrated and this is going to be a show to remember.
